MORTGAGE CORNER

"Are mortgage rates really falling?"

Short answer: Yes, they are.

Mortgage rates have been slowly moving lower the last few weeks, as markets prepare for the Fed to start cutting its policy rate in September and continue cutting into 2025. While the Fed does not set mortgage rates directly, mortgage rates are heavily influenced by the Fed's actions, as most other rates are (like car loans, credit cards, and business loans).

So, with falling rates, is now a good time to buy a home?

What about refinancing? Should you consider possibly consolidating some debt, freeing up some cash flow every month?

If you have these questions, then I encourage you to call, text, email (simply reply to this email), or message me today. I'd be glad to discuss it with you!

Will mortgage rates go even lower?

While no one has a crystal ball, there are indications that we will see mortgage rates slowly move lower as we head into the end of the year and into 2025. However, how much rates will fall and how long it will take is very much a mystery.
