Starting a new job while buying a home? Here’s what I want you to know. 
Please talk to me before you put in your notice. 
Changing jobs doesn’t automatically mean you can’t buy a home, but the timing matters.
If you’re starting a new job, I’m going to need to know:
When is your last day at your current job? When does the new job officially start? What will your new pay be? Are there any conditions you still have to complete? When are we planning to close?
Depending on your loan type, we may also need an offer letter and additional documentation before we can use that new income to qualify.
This is one of those situations where I’d much rather you call me before making the change than tell me after everything is already in motion.

When you’re buying a home, keep your loan officer in the loop. A quick conversation can save us both a headache later.
